Terms
Last updated: July 15, 2026
These terms govern your use of Plutus — the marketing site at plutus-cloud.com and the product at console.plutus-cloud.com (the “Console”), operated by Chris Henderson, trading as Plutus, based in Scotland, United Kingdom (“Plutus,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using Plutus, you agree to these terms. If you’re using Plutus on behalf of an organization, you’re confirming you have the authority to bind that organization to them.
Plutus aggregates cost and usage data from the providers you connect (cloud, AI, and other sources), lets you set spend budgets and alerts, and overlays business events on your cost data. Available plans, limits, and features are described on ourpricing page and may change from time to time — we’ll do our best to give notice of material changes that affect your plan.
You need an account to use Plutus. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be legally able to enter into these terms to create an account.
You own the data you connect to or upload into Plutus — your cost data, event data, and anything you send through our usage-ingestion API. You’re responsible for having the right to share any data you connect, including data about your own end customers if you send it to us; we process that data solely to provide the service to you. We grant you no ownership over Plutus’s own software, and you grant us only the rights necessary to operate the service on your behalf, as described in ourPrivacy Policy.
Connecting a third-party provider (AWS, Anthropic, GitHub, Salesforce, Slack, Teams, or any AI assistant via our MCP server) is subject to that provider’s own terms. We aren’t responsible for outages, API changes, or data inaccuracies originating from a third-party provider. If you connect an AI assistant to query your data through MCP, you’re responsible for that assistant’s use of the scoped key you issue it, and you can revoke that key at any time.
You agree not to:
We enforce reasonable, tier-independent caps on things like the number of budgets and alert channels you can create, to keep the service usable for everyone.
We aim to keep Plutus available and reliable, but we don’t currently offer a guaranteed uptime SLA outside of a separately signed enterprise agreement. We may need to perform maintenance, and features may be added, changed, or removed over time.
You can cancel your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or suspected abuse. Where reasonably possible, we’ll give notice first. On termination, your right to access the service ends, and your data is retained and deleted per ourPrivacy Policy.
Plutus is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chris Henderson, trading as Plutus, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service.
Except for the carve-outs below, our total liability arising out of or related to these terms, however caused, will not exceed the total fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. For accounts on the free Hobby plan, that means our liability to you is nominal.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation — these can never be limited under UK law, regardless of what this document says. [Cap amount, and whether any further carve-outs are needed, to be confirmed with counsel before publishing.]
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
We’ll update the “last updated” date above when we make changes, and we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify account administrators of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use Plutus after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
